Episode 108 – Self Care: A Student’s Perspective

Self care behaviors among students are linked with improved academic progress and life satisfaction as well as a decreased psychological distress. This makes sense and yet, students struggle to implement and adhere to self-care behaviors that will ultimately benefit their academics and most facets of life overall. Financial and time pressures repeatedly top the list of challenges many students face, along with academic stress. School-life balance, or making time for activities and enjoyment away from studies, can also be a barrier to self-care. There’s lots to tackle here, so let’s hop in with discussing self care among students with a current Michigan State student!
